Build Canada Polling — Terms of Use

Effective 2026-10-13.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use polling.buildcanada.com, answer a Build Canada survey, or join the Build Canada survey panel. By doing any of these you agree to them. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. Eligibility

Our surveys and panel are for people 18 or older who live in Canada. You may join the panel only once, using your own name, mobile number and email address.

3. Taking part

  • Taking part is voluntary. You may skip a survey, stop part-way, or leave the panel at any time.
  • Please answer honestly and on your own behalf. Survey links are personal; do not share or forward them.
  • Joining the panel does not guarantee you will be invited to any particular survey or number of surveys.
  • Keep your contact details current by writing to polling@buildcanada.com.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • submit false information, sign up someone else, or create more than one panel profile;
  • use automated tools to complete surveys or sign-ups, or submit duplicate responses;
  • interfere with, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to this site or its data.

We may exclude responses, or remove someone from the panel, where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken or responses are not genuine.

5. Incentives

Participation is unpaid unless a survey says otherwise. Any prize draw or incentive will be governed by rules published with that survey, and no purchase is ever necessary.

6. Survey content and results

Surveys may ask about public policy and current events. Some questions may describe hypothetical scenarios; they are not statements of fact or of Build Canada’s positions. Build Canada owns the survey questionnaires and the aggregate results, and may publish aggregate results. Individual responses are never published in a form that identifies you.

7. Messages

Panel members receive survey invitations by text message and email. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Reply HELP to any text for help, reply STOP to stop messages, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and secure but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Build Canada is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or participation in surveys. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do, and material changes will be communicated to panel members. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

10. Contact
